Retention Lifecycle
Retention is a central building block of the RMConsole Records and Content Management Solution, in that it maintains legal compliance for organizations ensuring documents are retained for the legal period required.
Retention can follow any number of steps as laid out by the organization, including email notification, In Box Notification, Records Export, Accession, Location Change, and Destruction.
Both Non-Electronic and Electronic Records can be assigned a Retention/Disposition Schedule through the multi-level structure in the file plan. Retention can be "actioned" at a folder or a record level, while meeting the requirements laid out in the DoD 5015.2 Standard.
